Active Ingredient: Carbamazepine Bipolar 1 disorder (Equetro only): Treatment of acute manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar 1 disorder Epilepsy: Treatment of partial seizures with complex symptomatology (psychomotor, temporal lobe), generalized tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal), or mixed seizure patterns Limitations of use: Carbamazepine is not indicated for the treatment of absence seizures (petit mal); it has been associated with increased frequency of generalized convulsions in these patients. Trigeminal or glossopharyngeal neuralgia (oral only): Treatment of pain associated with trigeminal or glossopharyngeal neuralgia
