Clarikan S.R. 500mg 14 Film Coated Tablets

Clarikan S.R. 500mg film-coated tablets contain clarithromycin. They are used to treat acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis in adults, and as part of combination (triple) therapy for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori to reduce the risk of duodenal ulcer recurrence in adults with H. pylori infection and duodenal ulcer disease. They also treat disseminated Mycobacterium avium complex infections in patients with advanced HIV infection (prophylaxis and treatment), acute otitis media in pediatric patients, pharyngitis/tonsillitis, community-acquired pneumonia, acute maxillary sinusitis and uncomplicated skin/skin structure infections. Regimens using clarithromycin as the sole antibacterial agent are more likely to lead to resistance, and should not be used in patients with known or suspected clarithromycin-resistant isolates. The pack contains 14 film-coated tablets.
