Azrolid suspension 900mg/22.5ml containing azithromycin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic.
This suspension is a broad-spectrum antibiotic and a macrolide antibacterial drug. It contains azithromycin 200mg/5ml. Many antibiotics can cause diarrhea; if diarrhea is severe or lasts more than 2 or 3 days, call your doctor. Many antibiotics can cause hypersensitivity reactions; if you notice any, call your doctor. The safety and effectiveness of this medicine in patients under 6 months of age have not been established. Do not take aluminum- or magnesium-containing antacids at the same time as azithromycin. The pack size is 22.5ml.

- How to Use: • Acute otitis media (6 months and older): 30mg/kg as a single dose, or 10mg/kg once daily for 3 days, or 10mg/kg as a single dose on day 1 followed by 5mg/kg/day on days 2 through 5. • Acute bacterial sinusitis (6 months and older): 10mg/kg once daily for 3 days. • Community-acquired pneumonia (6 months and older): 10mg/kg as a single dose on day 1, followed by 5mg/kg once daily on days 2 through 5. • Pharyngitis/tonsillitis (2 years and older): 12mg/kg once daily for 5 days. • Can be taken with or without food. • Water is needed to prepare the suspension. Shake well before use. • After mixing, store the suspension at 5°C to 30°C and use within 10 days. • Discard any remaining suspension after the full dosing is completed. • Follow your doctor's instructions about the amount to use and the duration of treatment.
